  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour 65g
  • 2 Large Eggs Beaten
  • 2 cups Panko Breadcrumbs 120g
  • 1/2 cup Honey 170g
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce 30ml
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter 28g
  • 1 tbsp White Sesame Seeds Toasted
  • 3 Green Scallions Finely sliced

Equipment

  • 1 Baking sheet Large rimmed sheet
  • 1 Wire cooling rack To ensure 360-degree crisping
  • 1 Small saucepan For reducing the honey glaze

Instructions

Prep and Breading
  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Set a wire rack inside a baking sheet and spray with oil.
  2. Coat chicken pieces in seasoned flour, dip in beaten egg, and press firmly into Panko breadcrumbs to create a jagged crust.
Baking and Glazing
  1. Arrange on the rack and bake for 18-22 minutes until the chicken reaches a deep golden brown and feels crunchy.
  2. Simmer honey, soy sauce, and garlic in a saucepan until thickened and translucent. Whisk in butter for a glossy finish.
  3. Toss the hot chicken in the amber glaze, garnish heavily with toasted sesame seeds and sliced scallions, and serve immediately.

Notes

Always use a wire rack to prevent soggy bottoms.
Toss chicken in glaze just before serving to maintain maximum crunch.
