Instructions
- Place a pizza stone or an inverted baking sheet in your oven and preheat to 475°F (245°C).
- On a lightly floured surface, gently stretch the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. Place the dough on a piece of parchment paper.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan.
- Arrange the pepperoni slices and drained banana pepper rings over the cheese.
- Carefully slide the pizza (on the parchment paper) onto the preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10-14 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Sprinkle with dried oregano before slicing and serving.
Notes
Tip 1: For an extra crispy crust, preheat your pizza stone for at least 30 minutes.
Tip 2: Pat the banana peppers dry with a paper towel to prevent a soggy pizza.
Tip 3: A drizzle of hot honey over the finished pizza adds a delicious sweet and spicy flavor dimension.
