Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 8 oz low-moisture mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup jarred banana pepper rings drained well
  • 4 oz pepperoni slices
  • 1 tsp dried oregano for garnish

Equipment

  • 1 Pizza Stone or Baking Sheet
  • 1 Oven

Instructions

  1. Place a pizza stone or an inverted baking sheet in your oven and preheat to 475°F (245°C).
  2. On a lightly floured surface, gently stretch the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. Place the dough on a piece of parchment paper.
  3. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan.
  4. Arrange the pepperoni slices and drained banana pepper rings over the cheese.
  5. Carefully slide the pizza (on the parchment paper) onto the preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10-14 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Sprinkle with dried oregano before slicing and serving.

Notes

Tip 1: For an extra crispy crust, preheat your pizza stone for at least 30 minutes.
Tip 2: Pat the banana peppers dry with a paper towel to prevent a soggy pizza.
Tip 3: A drizzle of hot honey over the finished pizza adds a delicious sweet and spicy flavor dimension.
