Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and the egg. Stir until well incorporated.
- Spread the cottage cheese mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 15 minutes to allow the base to set.
- Remove the dish from the oven. Spread the marinara sauce over the base, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and top with pepperoni.
- Return to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use Full-Fat Cottage Cheese: This is crucial for a creamy, non-watery bake. Low-fat varieties have higher water content and won't set as well.
Don't Skip the First Bake: Baking the base first is essential to cook off excess moisture and create a firm foundation.
Customize Your Toppings: Feel free to add your favorite pizza toppings like cooked sausage, mushrooms, bell peppers, or onions.
