- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, drained Rotel, and taco seasoning. Mix thoroughly.
- Spread half of the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with half of the crushed Doritos (2 cups) and half of the shredded cheese (1 cup).
- Layer the remaining chicken mixture over the top, followed by the remaining 1 cup of cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, top with the remaining 2 cups of crushed Doritos, and bake for an additional 5 minutes to toast the chips.
- Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Tip 1: For the crunchiest topping, be sure to add the final layer of Doritos in the last 5 minutes of baking.
