Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and pepper. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and olive oil until the glaze is smooth.
- Spoon about three-quarters of the honey mustard glaze over the salmon fillets, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. For extra caramelization, broil for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully.
- Let the salmon rest for a minute before serving. Drizzle with the remaining glaze if desired.
Notes
Tip 1: Don't overbake the salmon! Check for doneness at 12 minutes. The internal temperature should be around 135-140°F.
Tip 2: For easy cleanup, do not skip the parchment paper. The caramelized honey can be difficult to clean.
Tip 3: Patting the salmon dry before seasoning ensures the glaze sticks and the edges get nicely browned.
