- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, and minced garlic until well combined.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Place them on the prepared baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Spoon or brush half of the maple dijon glaze over the salmon fillets. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- In the last 2 minutes of cooking, spoon the remaining glaze over the salmon and switch the oven to broil to caramelize the top. Watch carefully to prevent burning. Serve immediately.
Notes
Tip 1: For easy cleanup, do not skip the parchment paper. The glaze becomes very sticky!
Tip 2: Don't overcook the salmon. Check for doneness at the lower end of the time range. It should still be slightly pink in the center.
